Our new diagnosis system consists of biological and psychological methods that facilitate the identification of so-called neuropatterns.
Chronic stress load can lead to changes in numerous functions of the central nervous system. Just which of a patient’s brain functions will change is determined by a complex interplay of most diverse risk and protection factors.
This new diagnosis system enables us to differentiate such functional changes for the first time. It shows that these changes can each be characterised as a specific pattern of biological, psychological and symptomatic events. At the moment it is possible to record 21 different patterns (neuropatterns).
Our diagnosis kit can be used by patients with stress-related health problems. The diagnosis enable us, for the first time ever, to gain an insight into causal psychobiological mechanisms of the disease, which make it easier to decide on the course of treatment.
